Been busy the last few days, couldn't post!

Hello people! I was slightly busy this week and couldn't get to my blog to write to all of you again, but I'm back now and I wish to say happy Friday! I had promised you readers that i'd tell you my way I get ready for the gym so I'll do that in this post; I'll first start off by saying working out was pretty good today, the treadmill I was running on had actually stopped on me and started to slow down and told me my run was done even though I was still pumped which was kinda strange... Anyways, for the morning, what I do is also what my pilates instructor suggested to me, and that is to not eat in the mornings, as hungry as you are, resist the urge to put something into your belly and instead, drink coffee. Coffee is just water with grounded up coffee bean in it, so basicly you're kinda filling yourself up on water which doesn't need to digest and gives you energy for the morning. Normally in a rest position like sitting or so, your stomach tries to digest the food in your body, while you're running or doing some kind of activity, your body tries to regulate and cool your body. If you've got food in your body, it'll just sit there and weigh down on you, that's why people get cramps if they start strenuous activity after eating (for most people at least). So while you're working out, you've got the energy from the coffee, you've got nothing in your belly except water which doesn't have you cramping; as an added bonus, your body stops focusing on hunger the more you work out. I wake up in the morning at about 9 or so and I have a cup of coffee at that time to wake me up, i get to the gym at around 9:50 and workout until 12, then I get home at around 1 in the afternoon, that's nearly 5 hours I go without eating and I feel great. It then makes your lunch seem a lot more pleasing to eat. I'm very aware that in some cases, if you do not feed your body, it'll put the food you eat onto your body to suffice for your deprivation of food, but that is depending on how much you work out, the food won't stay on your body. To explain that, our anatomy has not changed for a while, our bodies are still built to survive and your body responds to how you treat it; if you move a lot, your body will keep you skinny, strong and agile so if we had still lived in a world where we had to survive, we'd have a strong body meant for hunting and gathering. Where if you do not move, your body will put the weight on because your body is trying to store energy, thinking maybe that you're hunkering down, almost like a bear hibernating. That's where my energy comes from, a cup of coffee in the morning. Later i'll post about motivation, energy and fitness is nothing if you've got nothing to motivate you to do it.

Monday, todays workout.

Todays workout was quite nice, I felt very energized and ready to do just about anything! Actually, in another post i'll explain to you readers about how I get all of my energy in the morning; but as of now, i'll just go on with how my day went. So I got to the gym, said hello to a few friends who take an aerobics class in the morning and got on the treadmill. Next to me was this fairly big man on another machine beside mine, he looked like he was trying to get into shape and on a mental note I congratulated him. So for when I get it started, I usually put the machine on "Manual" so that I can go my own pace rather than running these pre-sets such as "Alpine pass" and some other place i'd rather not run. So I turn my tunes on and start off with a walk, Mondays can really weigh down on you if you take the weekend to relax like me so I felt a little stiff when I had started running. After a little bit of running though, I don't know what hit me but I felt really good, so good that my normal running pace was a tad too slow for me. I do not know if the machine is too accurate, but if it is, normally I run at 8~8.5 mph, but today I felt great, I eventually got to turning it up to 9 then 10 and then ultimately 11. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the fat chubby man next to me looking at me like "Holy crap what's his problem?" Of course I did stop to take a breather in between my running, but in the end I was able to make it in with 2 and a quarter miles within 23 minutes. I decided to not work my chest today, I felt like I just had to relax, so I found the nearest bench and just relaxed until my pilates class. So once that started, I felt energized again, and buzzed through the class following the instructor to the mark, not stopping between actions. Tomorrow, or later today perhaps i'll post for you readers my way of getting to that energy that drives me.

Tip of the day for a healthy body : Keep it natural.

This post today is something I've really looked out for ever since I've seen a movie called Food Inc. Power to those people who have seen it, but if you haven't i'd highly suggest watching it, it gives an insight to what big food producers do to our food to get us not only addicted to it but also become dependent on it because it's so cheap. Now back on the subject of natural; natural foods and care for your body is the best you can do for yourself, not only will your body start to look better but you'll actually feel better too! Your body was built to be able to digest meats and veggies and all the goods of the sort. However, your body does not know how to digest chemicals being put into our foods today because they are not natural with your body, so your body doesn't know what to do with these and well most likely will just turn them into fat and they will rot your body, which can lead to morbid obesity or even to the extreme, cancer. Organic and natural foods are not hard to find, you just have to know where to look, they may be a little more expensive that what you're used to, but just know in the end you'll be feeling better than ever before, your friends and family will be able to notice it too.

I was thinking about posting Food Inc. in this post, but i'd rather not get banned for some copyright bull. Its real easy to find too, just youtube it.

My day today with fitness.

Alright, so for people who wish to follow my blog, the days i'll be really posting are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; on Tuesdays and Thursdays i'll post if I feel the need to get a tip or something out. So my day today, I should start by saying I go to the gym for two hours a day in the mornings on the listed days above (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays). My normal routine is to go on the treadmill for a nice brisk run, wakes me up in the morning and gets me prepared for my next ordeals. I spend about 30 minutes on the treadmill and i'm able to run about 2 and a half miles within the time. After that, depending on how i feel on the day (Or how much energy I've got) I either take a quick breather or i get straight into weight lifting, mostly chest and abdominal workouts. Then from there, I keep track of the time and when the hour is over, I go and attend a Pilates class hosted within the gym, which really gets me working hard. This is just a brief explanation of what I do on a normal day, i'll get more in depth with later posts.

Hello! Welcome to my new blog!

I've just created this blog in the sense that I wish to help people who are willing to read what I post; what I wish to post about is America's growing obesity problem and how I've managed to defeat it as an individual! I hope that I get a few people to follow my story and maybe pick up a few tips that have helped me cut weight off of my body and apply it to their lives.
